Absolute deep mirrors? Wow, talk about image manipulation. "Old doily holder?

Someone is going to be very disappointed when they see what this coin actually looks like.

Beats one I saw recently on eBay. It was a Morgan where the seller claimed it was a PCGS 66 with CAC and it was a picture of a raw Morgan shot from a phone that looked XF at best.

This seller has been brought up before due to their painfully obvious image manipulation.

James Tolliver? Sellers like this should be booted from eBay.

Bid accordingly or buy and return, bleeding him with non-refunded PP fees.

I'm guessing you are going to pass on this one then?

    Double struck?

Maybe an elongated cent. At least technically.

I agree, for using this photo the seller should be slapped twice.

Just boycott those sellers with bad pics.

Bad pics I can deal with. Manipulation of an image with the intention to deceive, no.

How do you deal with bad pics? Cross your fingers and hope for the best?

Actually, no. As a matter of fact, I contacted a seller whose pictures looked like they were taken while he was on a caffeine crash so I asked if he had some clearer pictures. He replied a day later stating that he updated his pictures. They were crisp and clear and so I hit the BIN.

My experience with sellers who intentionally attempt to deceive with their pictures simply never respond to such requests, such as the seller whose pictures I posted here.

    Cheers

    Bob

I don’t worry about it. I just move on. They don’t care what you think about it anyway.

I have developed a list of fav sellers who have good photos, nice material, return policy.

I love buying coins from horrible photos because of the arbitrage in price between a bad photo to a professional imaged coin :):D;):oB)<3>:)

Was that from one of the "DDO" parking lot find threads?

The seller referenced by OP lists every coin with these atrociously manipulated photos and breathless hyperbole.

He still has some nice coins, but they’re mixed in with some stinkers as evidenced by his feedback.

I’ve messaged him asking for honest photos—crickets.

EBay—lots of good and lots of bad. 🤓

And of course the elephant in the room - it's not a doily.

    Many happy BST transactions
