Is this a mint error coin?

I found this 1 cent coin some time ago, and have visited some coin stores wanting to get their opinion on if this coin is a mint error and it's worth. They could't get a handle on what might have happened to the coin. So, I need help determining if I have something of value here.

In the dialog box where you write your text. there are several icons at the top. The last one is a picture. Click on that and then insert your pictures into the dialog box.

I can't seem to post the pictures, all that comes up on the post is the file name as you can see. Haven't a clue what else to do???
It will show as a file name but when you click post, the image will show up.
From what I see, it looks like PMD (post mint damage)

That is sufficient. Unfortunately, it is Post Mint Damage, or PMD. Just worth one cent.

The pitting looks like it's from corrosion. Where did you find this cent?
