A minor historical marker...

...that I often pass on my way to the grocery store most Sundays, in a small village in upstate NY .

Yeah, it's not exactly Independence Hall but I like any and all kinds of history.

"If I say something in the woods and my wife isn't there to hear it.....am I still wrong?"

    @sparky64....Interesting... I live in a small village in upstate NY.... and we have many signs like that (very old village - 1600's)....Where is that one? Cheers, RickO

    It took 10 months to get it done, but the Granite State is now officially a Geeky State: The latest New Hampshire Historical Highway Marker, celebrating the creation of the BASIC computer language at Dartmouth in 1964, has officially been installed.

    I did not know this. Really cool. I learned how to program in BASIC in 1979. It was so easy a 15 year old could do it on a Radio Shack TRS-80 (my first computer) with a simple instruction manual.
