Anyone but me use numismatic passwords??

LakesammmanLakesammman Posts: 17,660 ✭✭✭✭✭

Mine are so convoluted, to include coin references and a past insult from a prominent dealer, that you would never be able to guess! :D

"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. I use Dashlane, which generates, saves, and autofills all of my passwords. All I need remember is my master password, and no, it's not coin-related. :)

Typically pick a pet or an item on my desk.

I am constantly having to request new passwords because I forget.

Passwords are the names of your former dogs, now gone to the Great Kennel in the Sky.

Wouldn't matter. ALL stored passwords are strongly encrypted using the master. If I lose or forget that password, even Dashlane couldn't recover my stored passwords.

I use 1Password to manage all my passwords so I have no idea what my password here is even. But I do like the idea of a numismatic theme for my work computer. Maybe I’ll do that next time I have to change passwords.

No... I use random passwords developed from my very active imagination.... :D Never a pattern and always forgettable if not used frequently... ;) Cheers, RickO

I just write them all down on a sheet of paper and attach the paper to my computer screen.

I keep a back up copy in an envelope labeled PASSWORDS, right next to the keyboard in case the sheet attached to the screen falls off or gets eaten by the dog. Seems to work for me.
