Going through my change jars.

Hello. As some of you know I am new to the coin world have been at it for about 5 days now. The collection I inherited is what got me started on this journey, I've not yet gone through the whole collection, once I started to research a few items I was overwhelmed by how much there is to this coin stuff and took a deep dive into online information as I wait for my books to arrive. It has been very exciting and everyone here on the forum has been very kind and helpful and encouraging. The urge to dump out my change (not the collection but all the loose stuff that got thrown in a jar that prior to becoming a collector would have been dumped in a "coin star" machine, a thought that now makes me cringe) and go through everything. After I finished crying over the change I've dumped in the past I found this rough 1980 penny in my jar and I'm pretty certain it's is a double die but my books haven't arrived yet and I'm still inexperienced so I figured I would share a picture here and maybe you could tell me if it is worth saving. I will be happy regardless of the conclusions thank you guys. When I am further educated in the field I will return the courtesy to future newcomers.
Comments
There is a circle within the penny on the front the 0 in the date is more of an oblong shape, the L in liberty is some what flattened. On the flip side you can see the "STA" in states looks suspicious and is rather flat.
Sorry no.
Damage. Probably coin rolling machine

Hope this helps.
I found a pretty well preserved 1984. The finish has a different look I'm not sure if it is what is called frosted or not.

I dunno about your '84 but I just wanted to give you a quick heads up on what to search through if I were you. Besides silver, check out every 1998, 1999 and 2000 cent. Esp. The big one, the 1999 Wide A M cent. If it looks separated as this, A merica, you have a WINNER! Along with the 1992 p or d Close AM variety. Good luck-joey😎

@joeykoins oh man. Guess what I found. In my jar of change 😁
Don't tell me! Either, the king or the queen? The king would mean the '92 Close AM, the queen would be the '99 Wide AM. Hope you found one of dem!

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Oh wait it's a 92. I have 3 wide and one closed. I have to do a quick reference check.
I' Hope I'm wrong but I'll guess, 3 wide are the '92's and the one closed is the '99?
Pictures???
If you're telling me all 4 are '92's then you did hit the JACKPOT!
Now, look close. Is the AM truly closed or a tad separate?
SUSPENSE!!!
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line. The 3 wide am 92s have the FG and the close AM 92 has the G that goes straight up. Not up and in. I'll get the photos up
Maybe there's no d mint though. Okay I'm going to upload a wide and a close. Then I have another that looks close I'll upload separately
Ugh....I had a 99 in my 92 pile. i have a ton of 99s and 98s I'm such a noob. I'm torturing myself. I've got to check everything again.
Do your coins look like this?

Normal 1992
Big Money 1992!
Which ONE do you have?
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line. While I go throughmy change I figured I would share this 1902 Indianhead coin. I dont know anything about the price on this it was like that when I got it.

It's not a great picture I took it earlier today. Still pretty cool.
My change only had the wide am sadly. I had accidentally flipped over a 99 in my 92 pile and thought it was close. Didn't notice until I went to take the picture. I still have a lot to go through though. My inherited collection might have the 92close I'll take it out of the safe and look tomorrow. My head is spinning I've been at it all day lol.
I'm more likely to find the wide 99 98 or 2000s I guess the 92 is extremely rare. I have coin fever and made that dumb mistake ha.
Indian cents are an exciting find, but in the usual condition, they are worth about $1, not $2,100.
And "rare" to a coin collector means that it is hard to find for sale from a coin dealer, instead of hard to find in pocket change.
Coin collecting can be exciting when a treasure is found.... Roll searching or change searching (which I still do) is also interesting. I am glad you are checking the reference sites and getting books. Remember, valuable coins are not common coins and so the search will have many hours/days/weeks of frustration.... But so much fun when a good one is found. Best of luck...Cheers, RickO
Do yourself a favor and pay no attention to anything written on the 2x2 holders if that one is any indication.
