Thanks DD. For providing my favourite daily thread view.
My favourite photo so far: Bobby Orr rookie card photo. Thanks again!!
You're welcome. It can be a challenge to match the photos with the cards. It can take a long time to find the exact photo that was used to produce a card. A lot of the photos are nearly impossible to find, but it's a thrill when I find one!
Deacon Jones was one of the most feared players in NFL history. If you were a quarterback, you knew this guy was going to be coming for you. He was famous for using a move called the "headslap". He would slap you in the side of the head as hard as he could to get past you, in order to get to the quarterback. A vicious player.
Ronnie Lott. This guy was known for delivering bone crushing hits. He was as tough as they come. He injured his finger in a game, and the doctors told him he had two choices, sit out six months and wait for the finger to heal before playing again, or have it amputated and be able to play immediately. He wanted to play so bad, he had it amputated.
Jake Lamotta, "the raging bull" was a vicious fighter that earned his nickname by being a hard charging, angry beast in the ring. He once testified on National TV about the mob's involvement in boxing, and during his testimony he stated about the mob, "I am not afraid of none of them bums". He was fearless.

Earl Campbell. This guy wouldn't hesitate to run you over.
Archie Griffin didn't make it in the NFL, but he is still the only player to win two Heisman trophies.
Red Grange. The galloping ghost was football's first superstar. This is more of a modern card, but I love this image of Grange.
Gordie Howe.

Super Mario.

Kobe.

Ty Cobb steals third. Thanks LC.

Mike Tyson.

Wilt Chamberlain.

If you get a chance, check out this book.
Jack Lambert was another player that was feared. He seem to enjoy inflicting punishment on offensive players, and he was a maniac on the field.
Kareem Abdul Jabbar 1/1. Oh yes, I remember how the Lakers dominated the 80s.

Yes it does. Nicely done!
Love him, or hate him, number 756 was a magical moment.

Oh stop it Joe, just stop it! Now your just showing off!
I've been watching a lot of wrestling videos on youtube this month, and these Pearl cards are stunning.
