CAC Results are in.....

It's been 15+ years since I've been on the boards, but I was so happy with my CAC results so I wanted to share them.....

In preparation of selling the majority of my collection, I sent 20 coins to a trusted dealer for appraisal and upgrade potential. While he thought 2 may upgrade, he recommended sending to CAC instead as the upgraded value wasn't worth the risk/cost of upgrading. In total, he selected 14 of the coins to send to CAC. Of those, 11 upgraded! I was super happy with those results.

This PR64 dime should totally be a CAM and I thought shot 65 (Photo is a little washed out). Definitely one of my fav cherry picks (humble though it be).

I'm assuming you mean that they green beaned. In any event, 11 of 14 means that you sent coins worthy of CAC review. Congrats.

Nice dime! More pics of CAC and non CAC would be great.

When you say upgraded do you mean they received a Green sticker? Or did they pull Gold?

I read it as He wanted to try to resubmit but dealer suggested CAC.

    BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.

The shadowing looks unusual and interesting. I have frequently seen 'pull-away' toning on heavily toned coins, but not something like that in the image above.

It looks like the coin was shot with a single light source off to the right.

Neither. I was thinking 1-2 were worth sending into PCGS for a potential upgrade, but we opted for CAC instead.

I reckon you might need to wait another 15yrs for his response.

Ha ha ha! I go no response for that!

I don't know why we get that pull-away effect. I had the dealer shoot it. In hand it's a really strong cameo, but it looks washed out in the pic.
