NNCS is not common but also not rare. I’ve seen several and owned one. The slab premium might be $25-$50 for a generic coin in that slab. I’ve also seen some nice coins that people have cracked and upgraded from these slabs (although that isn’t the standard).
I have about a dozen of the NNCS slabs. Some of the coins I have cracked out and they have graded well above the NNCS grade, but most were right on target.
I think US Coins was their best customer ... almost all the NNCS slabs I have seen were 'registered' to US Coins.

I don’t think that the US Coins we know today had anything to do with that coin. NNCS was a Martin Paul operation, primarily (if not exclusively) slabbing coins for its telemarketer clients. The “US Coins” name on the label may have represented some related legal entity, or it may have been completely fictitious.

Nice reverse on that Morgan....I have seen those slabs from time to time at coin shows in the PNW...Most of the time, the grades looked accurate. Never purchase one....Cheers, RickO

A little high? Guess they can price for whatever they want.
I have heard that from lots of folks about CRO’s pieces.
John offers some nice stuff but he is very proud of it. I have bought several pieces from him, but paid up for them.
Maybe that is why some of his pieces sit on the site for a long time.

Got it. Best to find dealers who offer really nice coins that sell really quickly at cheap prices. Great advice!

Andy,
That was unfair. That is not what I meant. That is not even close to what I meant.
Your sarcasm was not appreciated.

I’m not a Morgan guy and definitely not into slab collecting but John has been a stand up guy both buying and selling. Great coins aren’t cheap and cheap coins aren’t great.... what sucks is paying up for coins that aren’t nice... With CRO at least you know your buying a quality coin.

Try to find the kinds of coins that John finds and then lists on his website for cheaper. Ain't gonna happen. I don't think any of his listings sit for a 'long time', but that is arbitrary and vague unless you define what a long time is. Also, I am not sure about your middle statement on John's pride. Of course he is proud about what he does and the coins he sells. Wouldn't anyone be proud of what they do? If not, well...........

You can find them for sure. I probably have several coins he would love to sell and I am a bargain bin hunter.
You just have to know where to look. And take a LOT of swings. You will get a hit sooner or later.
Now, is it worth the time invested? Probably not.

Great EA for the grade - EA usually trumps the perceived or listed value imho
At least it was MS64+
But will it CAC?

0% chance . CAC only handles PCGS and NGC.

I understood not in that slab. I understood only in PCGS slabs or across the street would bean.

NNCS grades are spot on in my experience.
That is tempting.

Nice coin. Crazy old slab. I like just a bit more color on my Morgans BUT it IS tempting.

Hilarious they included the owner’s value on the slab insert........ like that wasn’t ever going to change.
Zero chance they will get that unless some serious slab collector.

Interestingly enough quite a few grading companies included the value on their photo certificates back in the 1980s.
My guess is it might have been for insurance purposes or just to have a number for resale purposes.

CRO has great, eye-appealing stuff.
And they also pay strong for your nice stuff.
It seems that super coins just sell for more.
Who knew? 😈😇
