I am outbid on the coin I wanted. Some of these may be "cracked out" based on the prices right now.

EJ, I feel your pain.
I've lost a few exceptional rattlers to the crack-out speculators. The old plastic needs to be preserved!

I’d have expected at least $400k if it had stickered....and $500k if an A+ coin.

Bid on the 1986 proof silver eagle in first generation plastic. Went for about $500 vs $1200 or so for a couple similar examples a few years ago.

I got outbid which was probably a good thing.

I got this one. I needed it to add to my 1986-S rattler proof set. Now I have two, not sure if any others exist.

I bought two out of a Heritage weekly internet auction for under $100 a piece. It was about five years ago and they have since been sold. I'll try to pull them ip later tonight to see if they match your coins.

I was watching that one too, but the crack in the holder and what looks like hazing bothered me. I like old slabs, but have decided that I want the coin and the holder to look decent too.
What's it like in hand?

At lest 2 exist because I bought these together a while back at a Long Beach show. I sold one to a forum member and had this one I gave to GC. Both were 1986-s.

I liked the Chain Cent, and was told the 1796 Dime was nice. apparently so, the chain 177,500 and dime like 97k before juice
