Which would be a better choice?-W Quarters

I am thinking about putting together the set. Would like opinions about these two choices? Should I put together a set in MS 66, First Week of Issue-Blue Label or a set of MS 67-Blue Label. I guess my real question is....Will the First Week labeling hold up in value over time or should I buy the top graded examples, knowing that these numbers will slowly increase in time?

Buy as a collection, not an investment.

So which one of these two options would you choose? I can put a collection of raw coins together, easily and cheap.
Edited to add:
I read Hemispherical posts all of the time. He provides a great service by making the numbers easy to read and understand

If you have any thought of these as being an "investment" ...
Personally, this would be a raw set for me just as my State Quarter and AI Dollar sets are. The 'First Week of Issue' label is meaningless marketing, IMO.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
For rarity, I would go with the highest graded examples.
The price difference between 67 and 68 on the Lowell for example is unreal.

Agree with @derryb, MS66. At this level the Ws are nice and the prices are not too “loud.”
Of course adding EF or FW will get pricey and somewhat difficult to find.
If MS67FWs can be found for a reasonable $ then... ...the problem is finding them and at a reasonable price since some of these are currently in the top pops regardless of the label (FW, EF, blue, yellow, or custom dealer/signature.)
As usual just my opinion.
Happy New Year!
It may take years before more high grades are found, if ever. They are locked away in virgin boxes, but the boxes are so diluted. I have searched all Summer & Fall and have only found three W's, and conditions are not in high 60's. Go with the highest grade if that's what your heart desires. For me, it's cool to have three raw from the wild!
Your post seems to indicate you would do this with an eye to future value escalation.... I think that will either not happen or it will be minimal. These modern sets do not command the interest of older sets... and likely will not within several lifetimes...Cheers, RickO
These would be Dansco coins for me.

I am only going to buy these for my album. Much like the rest of the ultra modern releases you may save yourself a good deal of money if you put off buying these for a year or two.
I wouldn't pay any noticeable premium for this set. I haven't checked the population data or current prices but don't believe it will be "rare" later even in MS-68.
I don’t have a set and I want one - at some point I may buy a decent slabbed set if cheap enough. I’d also be happy with a clean set in a decent aftermarket holder.
With all due respect to our host, the special labels are usually meaningless me. The value is in the coin. Furthermore, down the road if you need to reholder, my understanding is that you lose the special label. (Based on my inquiry at the PCGS table at a large coin show when I was asking about a crooked WTC Recovery coin).
Over the weekend I did a quick inventory of what I had bought from the mint over the past year to see if I needed to get anything in the mint’s “Last Chance” offerings before year end. I came across some great coins that were extremely important at the time when the initial rush was underway (coin & currency sets, Pride of Two Nations set, Apollo coins), but which are now rarely mentioned. Go back just a few more years and the list gets much longer (more coin and currency sets, Presidential reverse proofs, assorted SE issues, March of Dimes set, etc.).
The moral to that story is that the hype that precedes and immediately follows the issuance of special coins rarely (never?) is sustained.
Since I lived through it, the W quarters are worth owning, but not at a huge price. (Then again, I lived through the S mint business strike quarters and do not have more than a few of those).
Whenever possible I like to buy (or find) coins at the issue price or after the dust has settled.

I see no added value in the first week of issue.
Maybe the market does but to me it is stupid.
Special labels usually have no points associated to them in the registry, therefore they usually have little to no added value after the initial hype dies off. I have no desire to purchase a set of these W coins in any grade; if I'm able to find from circulation or trade some of the dupes I have found for ones I cannot find to make a set that will do just fine by me.
My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
For the W quarters there are additional points associated with FW and EF labels in the registry.
That is the market.
Unbelievable that some of the top pops have sold In the 3-4 digit range (before the decimal point) on GC and the Bay (haven’t checked HA.)
Since the last post, the 2020’s have now been announced. I followed derryb’s advice and picked up some nice MS66’s. It might be just a little jump, but they are definitely selling for more, now. Thank you.
