Liberty missing chunk of face? Proof Mercury Dime.

Hey guys.
I just wanna be sure that Liberty is, in fact, missing part of her face.
I am not a dime guy, I am not a proof guy, but IIRC liberty doesn't have a pocket in her face. I was always under the impression there was an unbroken line in her profile.
Is this a design flaw? Imaging?

Over polished die.

This is frequent on 1936-42 proofs. Resurfacing of the dies resulted in the loss of low-lying design features.

I trus7 Cod, too, so this is perfect for me.
IMO when purchasing any '36 -'42 era proofs try to find coins that don't look like this. Ignore those high grade (and expensive) polished die strikes and look for early die strikes with full detail. These coins are nearly always fully struck but details missing are result of repolished dies due to usually small numbers of available dies. Cool die summaries are available in Roger Burdette's book on the subject.
