Been away for many years!
Any Lucybop sightings lately?
I am still doing Franklins. Though I run into people who shake their heads in disbelief and say things like, " Franklins? STILL? Man, you should be into, like, rare varieties of Bust Halves by now!"

Gee, thanks. Not to make this thread about me, but my offense was apparently calling someone a "weasel". I didn't apply for reinstatement immediately because I figured it'd be good to take some time off and clear my head, as I was taking this place a little too seriously. I grew up a lot and turned sixty in the meantime...

Your avatar is cool. I met Frank Zappa at Chaffey College long, long ago. We played the piano and guitar together. I was no good. I never liked his music but he was a nice guy. He hung out with the kids. Just a regular guy.
P.S. Anybody around here ever heard of the FLYING BURRITO BROTHERS?

Love their 1st album "The Gilded Palace of Sin", their cover of "the Dark End of the Street" is killer, along with other songs like "Christine's Tune", "My Uncle", and so on. Their next one wasn't a slouch either, didn't hurt to record the song "Wild Horses" by the Stones first!

The best of the best is Gram Parson's RETURN OF THE GRIEVOUS ANGEL album. Also the Byrds SWEETHEART OF THE RODEO. I was lucky...... right place at the right time. Got to tinkle the 88's a time or two. Also......Townes van Zant, LEFTY AND PANCHO look it up. You'll love it. AND........J.J. CALE. THE GODFATHER OF IT ALL!
P.S. Gram was the man behind the Stones WILD HORSES.
