Thank God, I have a semi valuable CAC package that last scanned 100 miles from me over a week ago. No scans since, I sure hope it is still on it’s way.

If it was shipped via UPS, I wouldn't worry too much yet. I have a very expensive guitar on it's way and it was sitting 150 miles away since Dec. 22nd. It finally left there today for delivery tomorrow.

No excuse for packages that sit there for more than a day. Your package was either misplaced or somebody purposely put it somewhere for later access. USPS people tell me their packages (especially registered) are never in one place for more than a few hours at a time.

I called UPS yesterday, and asked why it had been sitting idle for so long. They said during high volume times, they will hold items if they are still on schedule to allow packages promised for earlier delivery times to be delivered. I think it's BS, but fortunately it's out for delivery today.

Yes I could see that with UPS. In my business UPS is unable to guarantee their normal overnight (air freight) delivery times during Christmas season.
