Hi guy's and Merry Christmas! I was going through my old miscellaneous things I have in a tin box. I came across this one weird coin/medal. Does anyone have a clue what in the world do I have here? Thanks guy's in advance. What's cool is this coin has Chicago Ill. stamped on it, my home town. :)
One More Thing...Does it have any value?

"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!

Date of establishment. Premium, the best I could find was $3-$4. Probably more valuable to members of that lodge if it’s still active.

Thanks for the info. Do you think the coin is that old? Aug.13,1906

Hard to know. If that lodge is still active then the token could have been made this year.

Nice old token.... Funny what we find going through old boxes... I still have a few unopened boxes from my last move in 2008....have no idea what is in them... I think I lost my move list that tabulated each numbered box...Cheers, RickO

I have encountered several similar tokens over a period of many years. Demand, and price, seem to be very limited ... probably a few dollars at best. The designs of those tokens just don't seem to inspire collectors outside of the organization itself.

    All glory is fleeting.

Maybe if they were in a more valuable metal content? Such as, in Gold or Silver? :*

The Masonic Penny, Masonic Chapter Penny, Mark Penny, Masonic Coin, or Masonic Token, is a coin or medallion made and used by some Masonic lodges.
They are given to members during initiation ceremonies or meetings.
The date on the token is the date the lodge was chartered, not when the token was manufactured.

    Here is one:

    image
Masonic Penny - Berkeley California Royal Arch Masons Chapter 92
    Bronze, 31 mm, 9.15 gm
    Obverse:
    BERKELEY CHAPTER No. 92 R.A.M. / CALIFORNIA
    University of California Greek Theatre
    Reverse:
HTWSSTKS emblem ("Hiram of Tyre, Widow's Son, Sent To King Solomon")
    CHARTERED APRIL 18, 1906 / ONE PENNY

Four Royal Arch Mason lodges were chartered on April 18, 1906 at a meeting in San Francisco.
