We're nearly seven hours into the day. In years past, the kids would have been up long before this time of the morning - now they prefer to sleep and I'm the one up early!

Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year!

(I am quite certain that Santa has left a couple of sweet coins in my stocking...)

    MERRY CHRISTMAS from Southern California. The snow covered San Gabriel, San Gorgonio, and San Jacinto mountains make a beautiful background. It feels and actually LOOKS like Christmas around here. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

    Merry Christmas from the US or better yet, East Texas. :) No mountains or snow here but it was cold enough to see frost on the ground this morning.

    I see something under our tree with my name on it. I can only hope.... :)

    Hey CCGGG, years ago my work took me to Texas quite often. For 15 years or so I was in Texas at least three months a year. All over the state. When people here in California would ask me where I was going on my next trip I would always reply, "BACK TO THE UNITED STATES!" Texas is a great state. Best part. ......Texas gave me the lovely Mrs. Hydrant! Oh,....those Texas gals! Best looking and best cooking girls on the planet. You ain't lived until you've had down home chicken fried steak and biscuits prepared and served by a Texas gal. WHOA! REMEMBER THE ALAMO!..and....MERRY CHRISTMAS.

    Only a high of 15 here in Christchurch today so the ice blocks are not quite so appealing... Plenty warm however for jandals now and the grill later. Enjoy!

    Typical neighborhood in SoCal! Don't believe everything you read. It's paradise!

    P.S. Swampboy, you took that photo yesterday morning. Didn't you? It was the most beautiful morning. From home I could see a hundred miles in all directions. The valleys, the snow on the mountains, the blue sky, the huge white clouds floating by. Sweet Baby Jesus!

    Always wanted to go to New Zealand. Probably never make it there. Is it as pretty as the pictures? If it is California has some stiff competition! We might be in second place. Enjoy and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

    Walkerguy21D, I was in Ohio for Christmas in 1988. Just outside Springfield. It was lovely. I just couldn't figure out why everyone kept shouting at me to CLOSE THE DOOR!
