This is of the 'rock' denomination. The Mars meteorite NWA 7034, aka 'Black Beauty'. BB is the most studied meteorite since ALHA 84001 where folks claimed they found Mars life in it (NOT).

Just for clarification, the term 'Black Beauty'
has also been used for many decades to
describe error coins (mostly nickels and quarters)
that have been struck on mis-annealed planchets.

Me neither. But I did have a "Black" 1964 Chevy Impala SS with red crushed velvet rolled & tucked seats and a 327 350 horse power engine!

With Jefferson nickels, besides being a dark toned, the coin must also be lustrous or proof-like as I like them before they can earn the Black Beauty descriptive. There are a few in my collection in the link below.
