Nice to have, but my state sales tax would grab almost all of it, so no coins for me this time. :s

Get used to it. State Sales tax, if you live in a State that charges a sales tax, is not limited to coins but all merchandise.

Not all merchandise is taxed, and not all merchandise is discretionary. Coins are both. The 8.25% sales tax in my locality makes it uneconomical use eBay for any coins, especially if bullion-related.

I believe OPA meant that ebay is levying the same tax percentage across the board on all items sold to buyers in each state where it has implemented tax collections.

Except it really isn't. For example, I don't get taxed on food items I buy using eBay.

And for some reason I did not get taxed on some discount postage stamps I bought on Ebay. I'll have to pay more attention to the categories and how they work.

Well then, ebay appears to be applying taxes by individual category.

I miss my grandma and dad. So I'll be sorting a few thousand mercury dimes and walkers on Christmas. Grams would be proud or me buying metals below spot, and using a company's cash back rewards to buy precious metals for free. Will probably round out this quarter with a Roosie.

    O’where o’where are the % bucks...

Itchy itchy trigger finger with last quarters bucks accumulation that is waiting to be bucked.

I don't think they offer them until the time to spend earned bucks expires. I could be wrong though.

Pretty much what happened to me think I had $360 ebay bucks and most went to the new tax. Would have been much better buying what I bought before the end of the year then I would have had $460 in ebay bucks, paid no sales tax and could have just bought a gold coin and been done with it. Oh well not a huge deal.

Also for the post above, no guarantee of course but they usually will do a bonus bucks promo before things expire probably will be another week or two though closer to the end of the month.
