My 1927 set

Ik they’re not the rarest or in perfect condition but to be fair I did find the Nickel & penny lol and 27 is my favorite number so figured it made sense. Andd only paid a few dollars for the case. It’s got threaded plastic screws. I like it tbh

I think doing "year sets" are a cool way to get an up close and personal feel for coinage from an era. (And the 20's is a great era!)

I've picked a few select years to do the same thing. Fun little side trips and detours....

Haha yes. It started when I was just a kid growing up. My dad being a financial advisor attorney said “Son. in this world numbers always change & never lie. “People also change & almost always lie. If you have a favorite number you’ll see it everywhere”

I like coins from 1927 as well. The reverse of my avatar is a 1927 standing liberty. 1927 was the year my father was born

27 does seem to be your number. I see as good a reason as any to assemble a 1927 year set. Well done. Have you considered any other 27 sets? 1827 ? 2027 when it rolls around in a few years? How about something a little harder and a little different? How about Canada? Any of the European countries? Japan? Mexico? Your 27 collecting is really unlimited and challenging. Good luck in your pursuits.

Your next project should be birthyear sets for you and the
young lady pictured in your avatar. Concerning your 1927
set you picked out some well matched coins, good eye.

Love that choice of year.....those issues (1916-1938) demonstrate the best of our non-gold coinage designs in my opinion.

Very nice set....And a great idea for a date set....I will have to consider that option....Usually collectors assemble a birth year set... and maybe sets for Mom and Dad's birth years... then for the children...But a set for a random reason is also an interesting idea. Cheers, RickO

Thank u man, and yes that is a good idea. 1990 for me and 2001 for her birthdate haha. Wouldn’t b too expensive. But I would want mine to be error coins in the set Bc it always feels like I screw up hah.. 😒

These are PCGS pictures from when it was graded. I do not display it any other way (it's locked up in my collection).
