Beauuutiful! Always liked this variety. Underrated by far. I used to own a PCGS 67RD, sold it years ago. Cool. ;)

nice one there! RD rainbow toned coins are not common and usually when they are toned, they are toned very nicely, just as yours is. :+1:

I'll trade ya! Com'on. Mine is much more shinier than yours. Mine is easier to store away. You have that bulky plastic surrounding your coin, mine doesn't. Lol. :D

I bought my raw 1995 DDO Lincoln Cent from Bob Kelly Rare Coins on 02/15/1996 for $19.95. It was described as Gem BU. I have it stashed away in a Capitol Holder somewhere. It looks perfect. I am not sure where it is right now, but I am glad that I bought it.

Wow I don't remember them getting cheap that quickly. They were all the rage in 95.

That's really nice something you dont see everyday IMHO

  • DCWDCW Posts: 7,543 ✭✭✭✭✭

I agree. They were hundreds of dollars when they were first discovered. Being on the cover of USA Today helped.
Upwards of 100,000 examples turning up over the years hurt.
I still find them in circulation from time to time. Probably the last of the truly "major" doubled dies.

Would be nice if the 16 doubled die obverse buffalo nickel were produced in quantities like this!

    Pretty coin!
I'm a little surprised, given that it is toned, that it isn't considered RB. In any case, it's a sweet coin.

Nice 1995 DDO. What's the 1942 Mint Error in the first photo?
