I’ve noticed an abnormally long time to check in packages for grading after they have been delivered at PCGS
What is going on?
When paying for a speedier service level—you have to lose time sitting in an unopened package with our hosts.....

We are talking about 1-2 days—one of my last submissions was about a week or more
I LOVE MY PCGS!
4 days on my most recent.
After receipt (picked up from PO) it’s about 2-3 days when I see status the status of my submissions, regular and modern.
Make sure to write the highest submission level on the outside of the package (if you have multiple submissions in the package.) I usually write it below my return address.
If in doubt call CS.

4 days on last express, 4th day today on next express. Called they said between 3-5 days and asked if I wrote service on package. I said yes I always do it BIG black marker letters.
Yup, same here. USPS Tracking says package was picked up on 11/30. PCGS shows "Find my Package" on 12/2...
Now the waiting and endless refreshing... lol

Delivered on the 3rd and opened and entered in today, not too bad!
Can anyone tell me when they hit the CC during the process?

Of course that was Thanksgiving week when they rec'd.
AND today is day 5 on an Express submission that has NOT been checked in as of just now! I was going to call, but I just heard they closed at Noon today... UGH!
My express submission arrived Monday. In the system and in Proccess today.
I have faith PCGS is getting orders in and out as fast as they humanly can.
@Kccoin Good to hear.. mine arrived LAST Friday and still is NOT in the system. It is also an Express order which leads me to believe something ain't right

On previous submissions I’ve had the CC hit on the same day that I receive the email that grades are ready.

They sure charge enough. Time to deliver. Packages should be opened and processed in no more than 1-2 business days
I’m sure the big dealer submissions were checked in DAY 1
Mine was delivered on the 30th after they didn’t pick it up on the 29th(I don’t understand how that is possible, but they did it) and was entered into the system on the 5th. Also express

is Newport Beach a 24 hour PO? my submission tracking shows picked up at 4 am
Still nothing. Already half way through a regular service wait time.
My package of 2 submissions was delivered 12/2. One of the submissions was logged in yesterday (12/10). The other submission in the shipment, which is the unopened ERP box, hasn't been logged in yet.

I'd rather them be slow and careful than rush things and make mistakes.
Remember there is more than just a coin to keep track of with these and I'm sure it's slowing the process.

My submission is on its 8th Business day and still not checked in
@coiner I agree, this is a new issue, it never used to take more than a day to get orders logged.
My most recent submissions were delivered and confirmed by PCGS's "find my package tool" on 12/10/19. Lets see how many business days its takes them to get my submissions loaded into their system.
Was just told they are a week and a half behind on getting orders opened and entered, and they have brought in more staff to help get caught up.

I don’t see it.. it just gives me the PCGS# 1 digit higher than the coin and says genuine

Even express is delayed? I would have thought those went to the front of the line right away. Did you label the box?

@ChrisH821 I think it shows the COA # under the "Verify" tab which isn't available to me yet... I will update as soon as it is
I have heard the lobby at PCGS and the onslaught of Enhanced proofs has them way behind.
My most recent order shows delivered on the 5th by USPS but doesn't show up on my account yet. So they surely are behind.
