Does the toning on this morgan dollar offer a pleasing look?
“Brainstorming” comes to mind.
Doesn't bother me at all
Steve
I wish the rim toning on the reverse matched the obverse. Or vice verse either way it is satisfying 😃
Looks like a 'bad luck' cloud over the head of Liberty.... Well, what did you expect from a guy that does not care for tarnish?? Cheers, RickO
Neutral but looks to be high grade

Not for me but to each his own.
Neutral to me as well. May appeal to some.

I’d say yes, but not so pleasing to cause me to pay more than if it wasn’t toned. But I try not to pay extra for tone.
It looks above average but not great.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

I suppose if it comes down to a "preference", I'd like both sides to look like the reverse...
No. Unattractive toning pattern on the obverse.
Doesn't appeal to me.
I like it.
I like it as well.
Looks like 2 types of toning on 1 coin.
Mint bag on the obverse top and older white slab reverse rim tone.
@Broadstruck I was waiting for mint bag toning to come up .... never did until you. That was why I wanted this coin.
No, plus it’s a Morgan 😉

Cannot say that it appeals to me but I would not say its unattractive either.
