The FUN Show bourse list is now posted. I have only missed 4 FUN shows since 1973. There are very few dealers on the list now that were there in 1973. 32 days until the FUN starts. I can't wait.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been checking the site lately to see if it had been posted yet. I have to start marking down my "target" dealers on my walk-around map.

Come see us at Table #1016!
We look forward to the many coin show reports and pictures from all our forum attendees....Cheers, RickO
Another reason I need a walk-around map - I just received a "draft notice" to be an Exhibit Judge! So, let's see - get there on Thursday morning, set up Exhibit, register for Heritage auction, make sure Club table is staffed and operating, pick up Exhibit judging materials, etc. I suppose eventually I'll get to wander to use my map!!

I believe my table is pretty close to the entrance so I hope everyone at least passes bye says hi and grabs a piece of free candy
Candy!
I was just looking at that and noticed the .PDF is 48 pages long (LOL?)... Is there a condensed version?
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
Agree.
This dial up sucks.
😉
Can't wait! I'll be there through Saturday at table 1025 - be sure to stop by, check out some Pretty Pennies, say hi, and let me know if you'd like to be in my show report!

I'll be at table 1124 Thursday through Saturday.
Keeper of the VAM Catalog • Professional Coin Imaging • Prime Number Set • World Coins in Early America • British Trade Dollars
Along with a few other staff members I will be at the Pegasus Coin & Jewelry table #1133 buying and selling. While we are doing some modern, it is no longer our focus. Just wanted to mention that since many automatically assume that as former ModernCoinMart owner I am going to do the same thing.
Not at all the case, will not be reinventing the wheel.
Thanks, hope to see you there!

She has a great group of coins available. She will also aggressively work your want list

First FUN I'll have missed in 20 years.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
Any dealer who has high quality Canadian material?
I may be there but right now it's still 50/50.

"I only golf on days that end in 'Y'" (DE59)
I wish there was an app that would provide directions to whatever coin you are looking for at the show.

You definitely want to see Sandy Campbell (Proof Positive Coins) - Table 602. Just bring lots of money - he always has great Canadian.

I grant you your wish. Starting around January 2nd, go to www.collectorscorner.com, then click on “Shows” near the top on the right, then click on “FUN”. You then do exactly as you wished for - plug in the specifics of the coin you’re looking for, including filtering for grading service, grade, etc., and it will show you a list of participating dealers at the show with the coins you filtered for, along with their pricing, photos, and often a brief description. However, it will also include coins in the FUN auction as well. Happy Hunting!
My collecting “Pride & Joy” is my PCGS Registry Dansco 7070 Set:

I'll be there with 4 or 5 cases of mint errors--table #732. Looking forward to it, always a fun show.
Only three more weeks.
There must be serious caveats....I can’t imagine dealers are going to enter their complete inventory. I’d love if this were fully supported.
Thanks for the post. I have seen that functionality before. I believe it shows inventory that is already available on Collectors Corner. That's helpful if you want to see a coin in person before making a purchase decision. But that's not quite what I was wishing for. For me, one point of visiting FUN is to find coins that I can't find on the internet. An app to locate those "stealth" coins would be desirable ...

I would think if a dealer was going to go to the trouble of creating an inventory for the app you desire he would be a fool not to link all that work to an online source!
Like many things in life there are trade off's. I understand your desire to quickly and efficiently locate the coins you're looking for on the bourse floor. One of the up sides to your approach is that you might find the coins you seek quicker and would therefore have a higher probability of purchasing them.
But, as a longtime collector I thoroughly enjoy the time spent meeting new numismatists, learning about different coins, while searching at shows. The satisfaction of finding and purchasing coins after a long hard search makes it even sweeter. Some of my best finds came out of very disorganized display cases or from wholesale dealer boxes. These dealers do not maintain inventories for shows and would not spend the time required to provide the information you seek.
I would also like to add a lot of the FUN with coin collecting is the "Thrill of the Hunt!"
Well, I read the dealer list and noticed that two or three dealers whom I know will be there, don't have tables. But I suppose that this is a common phenomenon - for every dealer with a table at FUN, how many dealers are there without one?
Five to one, or more?
FWIW, I use the Potter Stewart formulas to identify a dealer...
Yes, I agree there are other benefits to coin shows beyond finding the coin you are looking for. At the same time, if the coin of my dreams is on the bourse floor, but I don't happen to run across it, that is a missed opportunity for both myself and the dealer. Alas, until every last coin is slabbed with a built-in tracking device that will probably remain an issue ...

This is a good example of my conundrum at a big show. A specific seated dollar is on my want list. Given the table number and FUN directory, it appears this post represents Cherokee Coins & Jewelry. I have never heard of this company before. Their website, though professional, doesn't list any coins for sale. As far as I know they have no other internet presence. Based on the post there is a reasonable chance that there is an off-the-grid coin for me hiding at this table. But given my limited time and the size of the FUN bourse, it's quite possible that I would not find it.

If your looking for a certified Liberty Seated Dollar there is a good chance you'll find it at table 205.
Please send me a PM and I'll confirm if we have the date and grade your looking for.
