    There have been a couple of those that have gone through. There appears to be some confusion that is being exploited. There are the signed COAs in the boxes and there are the signed COAs that Ryder did in Baltimore. He dated the one set and numbered the originals. Baltimore also handed out tickets for distribution, so ticket #2 is "a thing" but it really is only connected to the line in Baltimore. The first 25 might have been the first 25 sold, or at least delivered to the customers, but it really is just a line position in Baltimore.

    This really made me think of a meaningful correlation. To put this into perspective.....$14000 is about what I paid for my newly acquired 1921 P NGC MS 65 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. BOTH the PCGS AND NGC Price Guides lists it at $23000, so I think that I got an outstanding deal and it was a fresh, nice coin. If I were a dealer; I could flip this for a huge profit but that is not my intention. For those unaware: the 1921 had the second lowest mintage, in the entire WLH series, at 246K, but it was a workhorse piece and very few were ever saved. It was VERY heavily circulated. There are only 2 finer at NGC.

    Now, which would you rather have? That old, gem, Walker Half that has absolute and condition rarity, or an ounce of brand new silver that was meant to be put away? Personally; I don't even have to THINK about it.........JMHO.

    Please note: I am in NO WAY trying to discourage young or old collectors of moderns and/or ASEs. If that is what makes you happy, then God bless you! And FYI, I DO think that it is GOOD for the hobby and for the market but it is just not my first preference. Sure, 30K is a low mintage but none of these will ever circulate, so I think that these prices will adjust in the coming years. If they don't stabilize; I still don't care, because I don't collect them, but it will certainly be GOOD for those of you who do and who own them. I will certainly be very happy for all of you! It is ALL about supply and demand. I hope for your sake that these prices DO hold up. I just think it is much too soon to tell. Look at what happened with the gold Kennedys. You don't even hear about those anymore.

    Well, in absolute numbers, this coin is much scarcer than a 1921 Walker...
