    It's a beautiful example. Congratulations!

    Does PCGS only do the highlights for Legend's Regency Auctions or does it do the same for Heritage's Signature Sales and whatever the Stacks-Bowers equivalent is?

    Nice!

    Yeah, but only because it's freaking spectacular!

    I’m not sure to be honest with you. I was surprised to see this when I received the email.

    This type of publicity can't hurt a bit if it's going to auction.

    Great coin, thanks for sharing the link

    @Traz
    How about your history with the coin, when you got it and the like, it's always nice to see a success story.

    @Texast This one was one of the last needed to finish my complete proof nickel run. It took a while because I was looking for something that had some character to it. Since I only had it a little less than two years I didn’t have a lot of time to see it in hand but it was definitely one of the highlights.

    The entire set is great in hand, if you have a chance to see it before it is split up then do so.

    Hello @cameonut2011 , The videos are done by @PCGS as part of our agreement with them. I personally like to send them to the consignors of the highlight coins so that they have another great memory of their coin, along with our wonderful catalogs. You can find all the videos here https://www.youtube.com/user/PCGSVideo. @HeatherBoyd team does an amazing job!

    I've been doing coin videos on Instagram for some time when I've looked at auction lots, especially for Legend. While a good photo is nice, videos can really help bring out a nice coin in all its glory, like the one in the OP. While viewing in hand is still the best option, good videos make it a great option when in hand viewing is not possible. I've met @Terryann, Jessica, Julie and Ann Marie at various shows - Legend has a great staff behind the scenes and at the shows!

    And a welcome to @Terryann, just noticed it was her first post!

    I've finally seen a shield nickel that I like and it is way out of my price range. With that whole series, but particularly with the rays variety, shield nickels are notoriously not fully struck up because of die issues. That example is the first that is completely struck up in the lines in the shield and with the rays. Simply stunning, even without the bonus toning.

    Thanks. I hope the next owner enjoys it. I was looking forever for one with toning that was interesting and a nice strike!
