Probably to expensive for my taste but I am happy for you. Cause if we missed it that means you won and did not have to over bid to get it! Congrats.

Regarding "missing it" I was just saying it was pretty and was nervous there was gonna be competition to obtain it. Incidentally it went for the CAC price listed although I was willing to pay less (I do mean less)

If it weren’t for that long abrasion behind Miss liberty’s head; it probably would’ve 69’ed. Color is nice and cheeks are exceptionally clean. Congratulations on a nice pick up.

I guess I'll take the other position.

It's a nice Morgan, but I think you'll be disappointed if you truly think it will come back as a 69. The finest of the 130,000 or so that PCGS has graded is a single 68+. A 69 would probably sell for $50k+. This one has nice color, and it's decently clean, but the TrueView seems to be lacking in luster. It's maybe a little better in the GC photos but a 69 will need deep, blazing luster - virtual perfection. The cheek and neck show fine abrasions and the rims have a few minor issues.

That said, if you paid around what most MS66 coins are typically going for, you have an exceptionally nice coin.

Good upgrade candidate, but 69 may be a bit ambitious.

If you think a recently graded 66 will upgrade to 69 I have good ocean front property in Vegas for you.

I did not think you meant it would be regraded 69, for what it is worth.

It is a nice coin with above-average eye appeal, well struck, and free of any major hits or abrasions, but if I was guessing, it likely lacks the luster to make it into a 7 holder.

I think DD has it right. I'd expect a very clean coin in hand but with somewhat subdued or "satiny" luster that keeps it at a very nice 66. But since I don't have it in hand, my opinion is worth...

I wouldn’t reach that conclusion, based just on an image. However, if you do want to go by the images...the disturbance behind Liberty’s head (and to a lesser extent, the marks on her cheek, as well as the apparent subdued luster) make me think both PCGS and CAC got it right. Please note, none of that is meant to imply that I don’t like the coin.

    Neutral eye appeal. Not undergraded.

Well, truly delusional people post stuff here all the time and it isn’t always as obvious as you might think. :)
