They recently were given paperwork that said he's 28 years old. Just 2 years younger than me. Lol

OUCH! We have a Conure and he hurts like crazy. For those who don't know, it's about 1/10th the size of a Macaw.
I worked in a pet shop when I was 15-16. It had a fenced in tree when you came in with 2 Macaws in it. Some kid got in and tried to grab one. Unfortunately the kid left minus a finger. I never found out the outcome. Now a days I suspect the kids parents would own the pet shop and then some.
Very pretty blue and gold macaw! I have a pair of scarlet macaws and heisen macaws as well!

That is a beautiful bird.... When I lived in Barbados the Southern Palms Hotel had a scarlet Macaw in a cage just outside the beach bar...I made the mistake of trying to touch him - once - he bit my finger...sure hurt, but I kept the finger...Never tried that again... Cheers, RickO
