  Good eye - that MD somewhat approximates the DD.

  Thanks, the top picture in the side by sides that appears more grey is my coin and the red one is a certified FS 801 that I screen shot off the PCGS site.
  Im trying to see where the difference is? And the pillars are really wonky as well .

  You should see doubling on the FG and the notches on the tops of the letters of E.P.U.

  Another avenue to compare are diagnostics of die scratches, gouges, and other marks imparted on the coin by the production of the coin at the Mint.
