    I can never figure out what denomination struck Which coin in the double denominations

    A struck dime gets stuck in a bin and then cent planchets are poured into that bin releasing the struck dime.

    The batch goes into the cent presses and gets stuck as cents.

    The smaller diameter is the host coin. The larger diameter die strikes the host coin. The larger diameter or last strike is the denomination.

    Other cases that are opposite were done at midnight.

    I got two new coins in the office yesterday but four heads .....

    Both in the uber cool little white slabs and in high grade :):):)

    Cool error, EOC. Really like these coins having 2 heads on the same side. :)
