Circulated 1910 1 mark Germany Update 11/11 in OP

That's a better mint mark. Krause catalog shows $20 for XF, which I would grade it per the photos.

This mint reported its 1909 and 1910 0ne Mark mintages in one number? 1,050,000 examples. But SCWC shows no great difference in values.

I have about 80% of the German Empire 1M issues and have picked up a lot of the common dates on ebay at cheap prices over the years. That worked well for me, but not so much for the sellers.

In your opinion did I sell it much too low? I may have a couple others, not sure. I will have to dig through.

If I had a duplicate 1910E in similar condition, I would be happy with $5. The downsides are the fees, shipping, packaging, running to the PO, etc. When I had a coin club nearby, I would take stuff like this and it would occasionally sell, especially if priced close to melt.

It sounds like the important thing is that you have more cash and less "accumulation" of low interest coins. No need to worry about +/- a few bucks IMO

The 1 Mark from German Empire is still one of the most popular German coins to collect. They don't generate as many watchers or bids as a lot of US coins. It is a series that I've been collecting for a while. I'd say that prices for slabbed coins have been flat to slightly down over the last five years, which I think is par for a lot of coins in general. No activity at half the Krause price indicates a weakness in Krause more than the 1 Mark market in my opinion.

$8 combined cost for that coin is about as good as you can get on eBay. I'd be happy. It's not high grade enough to warrant much more of a premium.
