Circulated 1910 1 mark Germany Update 11/11 in OP

Update. It sold on eBay. 4.99 plus 3 shipping. I have begun listing coins, each listed differently to experiment. This one was an auction, they pay shipping, starting at 4.99. Got one bid. I'm happy.
Can anyone help me with grade/eye appeal. Worth more than melt?
Thanks!!

Need better picture of obverse to confirm the mint mark, but I think not much more than BV considering its condition.
Mint mark is E
The mint mark looks like 'E' for Muldenhutten (Germany) active 1887-1953.
The Numista listing does not indicate a rare date-mint.
Is the original coin a found coin by a metal-detector or other method?

That's a better mint mark. Krause catalog shows $20 for XF, which I would grade it per the photos.
Germany 1910 E mintmark - likely a $6 to $15 coin, there are two spots on the reverse (denomination side) that look like small rim bumps. Price it at the low end and it will sell, price it at the high end and it is likely to sit.
This mint reported its 1909 and 1910 0ne Mark mintages in one number? 1,050,000 examples. But SCWC shows no great difference in values.
I agree with your estimated price.
Thanks.
Thank you everyone.
I picked it up for melt awhile back. Downsizing my raw, circulated world coin collection. Thinking about selling.
Let us know how it goes. Thanks for sharing .
Nothing special due to the dark toning and numerous rim bruises. I would expect a retail price in the $5-10 range similar to what @BillDugan1959 and others have said
I will.
Thank you everyone!
I like the winged creature!
I think the toning is great! It's nice and even. Much better than the cleaned white coins!
Updated OP
Sometimes these can be tough to sell unless you can find somebody who is working on a date/mm set (like me). I have about 80% of the German Empire 1M issues and have picked up a lot of the common dates on ebay at cheap prices over the years. That worked well for me, but not so much for the sellers.
Best of luck with the remainder of your downsizing
In your opinion did I sell it much too low? I may have a couple others, not sure. I will have to dig through.
If I had a duplicate 1910E in similar condition, I would be happy with $5. The downsides are the fees, shipping, packaging, running to the PO, etc. When I had a coin club nearby, I would take stuff like this and it would occasionally sell, especially if priced close to melt.
It sounds like the important thing is that you have more cash and less "accumulation" of low interest coins. No need to worry about +/- a few bucks IMO
The German Empire coins have certainly lost the interest of collectors. I had tons of them listed with a best offer and never even received an offer! I have a better date Mark slabbed MS 63. I believe KM lists it for $1200.00. I have it listed for less than half that with Best Offer and haven't had an offer!
The 1 Mark from German Empire is still one of the most popular German coins to collect. They don't generate as many watchers or bids as a lot of US coins. It is a series that I've been collecting for a while. I'd say that prices for slabbed coins have been flat to slightly down over the last five years, which I think is par for a lot of coins in general. No activity at half the Krause price indicates a weakness in Krause more than the 1 Mark market in my opinion.
$8 combined cost for that coin is about as good as you can get on eBay. I'd be happy. It's not high grade enough to warrant much more of a premium.
