The "Art" of an Error Coin ... "LIVE FREE OR DIE"

I always look at error coins as "Art". Some are very simple and clean and some are complex.

You do not get much simpler than an Off Center error coin, but the way this coin was struck just really stands out as "Art" to me.

Probably only in the mind of a young, uneducated "snowflake." I don't think that applies to you. :)

Too bad the date did not make it onto the coin. Aren't off centers with dates more valuable? :D

Generally, unless as in this case, the "art" of the error overtakes the date aspect, just my opinion of course.

Plus, the date is known on this coin by the design.

Yes, the placement of that one is priceless.

And a little thought-provoking. The Old Man of The Mounta9n is focused on that statement, and a few years after the coin was issued that natural landmark crumbled into a pile of rocks.

But let's not go any further down that road. :*

You may not see your coins as "Art" but I certainly see my coins as art.

Have a little more passion for your coinage and it may help your business prospects.

Very very nice great looking piece of history and truly could be a one of a kind coin. To find another one with that same design not likely. Making it a true anomaly in its own class. l love to see the needle in the hay stack and this is truly just that. Beautiful coin with awesome detail. Now I need to go study that coin and it's attributes I have a couple nickels put away but nothing that nice truly Amazing.

Nice example, EOC. I agree that your coin has very good "artistic value", not just eye appeal. :)
I like the "space in front of face" feel.

As a comparison, here is my similar off-center New Hampshire quarter. However, the planchet in my coin is more on the top. Therefore, doesn't have the "artistic feeling" as in your example.

More like my quarter is "thinking" something (bubble head??). :D

That's a nice one, too, in that it includes the state name.
