Just got my grades for my annual CC submission. I didn't have a lot of high-dollar items to submit this time, but I had to spend my voucher.

Good news is that all my Type coins graded. Bad news is that the grading was tight. I thought the 1843 25c would go XF45, with a shot at AU50. The 1855 H10c is an AU58 in my book. The 1844-O H10c is the most expensive coin, and I was hoping for VF20, so that one turned out well.

    Believe it or not, I took those photos in less than 10 minutes, right before I shipped the coins off from grading, in case they got lost or damaged in the mail. Pics turned out better than the ones I actually put effort into. :D

    The 1835 is a beautifully original coin for an XF-45!

    I believe I got that one from CVM at a Baltimore show in 2003. It's been raw ever since, but I had a hard time rounding up 8 coins to submit with this past year's voucher, so it went in. 1835 Large "8" is a bit tricky to locate in higher circ. grades with nice surfaces.

    Everything in a straight grade holder is a good submission. Congrats!

    I have a difficult time finding 8 coins to submit also.

    The grading seems quite tight on those. That 1855 arrows half dime looks like a gold CAC candidate to me.

    Ok, can someone please enlighten me why you collectors in the USA call a 5 cent coin a H10, meaning actually 5 cents, and not 5 cents? :|
    confusing for those who do / did not know.

    1866 H10c = half dime
    1866 5c = Shield Nickel

    There would be confusion on all 5 cent coins between 1866-1873 without the distinction of H10c vs. 5c.
