Is there a Professional athlete who is liked by everyone??

Mariano Rivera....other than maybe Derek Jeter, the ONLY Yankee player most welcome in Fenway Park and assured to always receive a standing ovation from Red Sox Nation. A fan favorite across the board.
A class act all the way.
    Other Yankee players...not so much.

Not a household name, yet at least, but I think Anthony Rendon fits the bill.

I'm surprised Banzai hasn't mentioned Harmon Killebrew.
I don't think I've ever heard anything negative about him.
Always heard he was one of the nicest guys in baseball.

    Byron Nelson the golfer.
He was really well liked back in the day.

I like Mariano. Don’t like Jeter.

I'm going to keep posting this until it receives at least 1 "Agree" or "Like" - i'll post it here over 10,000 times if necessary.

I don't ever remember anyone having something bad to say about Clemente. Also, I didn't see his name mentioned but does anyone not like Mantle? Also, I thought Brooks Robinson was a good choice.

Mantle could be a jerk at times (when drunk?) from what I have heard.

Brooks was well liked, never heard a bad word about him.

I forgot about Rivera, him as well as Posada are two Yankee players I always had a liking for. I never hated Jeter either but I can see how he would rub people the wrong way, I remember when Rivera got applauded in Fenway and he tipped his cap I think. He took it well, definitely a class act

Usain Bolt. I think everyone liked him and was in awe of him.

Musial, Brooks Robinson, Rivera, Ernie Banks. I will disagree on Clemente being liked by everyone. Many people did not like that he took lots of time off for minor injuries. I personally think he is one of the most admired in history. Would have loved to have met him.

As a former college runner, I never really liked Usain Bolt as a person. His talent was spectacular and won't see anyone like him for a long time. However, he was very arrogant in my eye and I am not fond of athletes being arrogant as much as he was. I know he dominated 100-200 for many years, but could've presented himself a little bit better on and off the track.

Richard Petty for the racing fans

I don't think Brooks has ever been crabby a minute in his life! A very humble man! I loved at the last National in Cleveland where he was so chatty with everyone like you were a friend. You could tell the Tri-Star people were getting antsy but Brooks doesn't care. He asked where we were from and we told him west of Toronto and he told us all about family he has living in Windsor, ON. He had conversations with both my teen daughters and they told me they were glad they came to the show with me after all. My wife and kids also became BIG Brooksie fans that day!

I got Bob Feller's autograph (mid 90's) in Cooperstown and he was FANTASTIC. I miss those days when you could get hall of famer in person autographs for around $20.

    That's great!

Killebrew was the same way. He shook my hand, asked my name and where I was from. Above him was a HUGE sign saying "No Personalizations" after signing a few 8x10's, I politely asked if it would be ok if he signed one "To Joe, Best Wishes", he didn't hesitate for a moment and now I have a special item in my collection.

On another occasion, he was signing at a card show and the line for his autographs was done and he had some time left. He came out from behind the table and approached me and a couple of other Killebrew fans and started chatting with us. He asked if we might have any questions about pro baseball and we asked him a few.

    He was a wonderful man.
