It seems that whatever Professional athlete is mentioned here, someone or some small group of forum members really dislikes that athlete. Is there anyone that everyone likes??

Before twitter it was easy to like a lot of athletes. now we see what putzes most of them are.
I think I should add Jose Altuve to the list. this guy is 5'6" and a buck sixty-five soaking wet, yet he plays arguably better than Aaron Judge who makes him look like a child!! the guy is remarkable and lovable.
It was hard not to like Tom Landry.
Not quite as universally loved as you might think. Been accused of being a hyprocite, having racial quotas, and a whole lot more.
Former Red Wings defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom. The guy's nickname is "The Perfect Human", fer cryin' out loud. Universally respected and liked.

I find Jeter extremely unlikeable. I think he was an excellent player (though overrated by Yankees fans) and fun to watch most of the time, but his demeanor has always turned me off big time.

I agree with all of those.
Bob, the world champion water skiing squirrel. He is beloved. He also was the highest paid water skiing squirrel with a contract of 10 million pounds of nuts. He is now retired and resides in a nice three story tree in Malibu.
