Why Coin Dealers Drink, Part CCCCXXXXII

A good one, this time! Yesterday we found out that, the good lord willing, in about 7-1/2 months I will be married to a grandmother! So of course we went out and raised a glass to the daughter who now cannot for a while.

Many congratulations! Of me and my four siblings, I am the only one who is not yet a grandparent (and I am the oldest). My brother just achieved this status in early August of this year. I have fair reason to think it will happen to me yet. This year, I bought all ten of my great-nieces and great-nephews an Apollo 11 silver dollar in a PCGS slab. I carefully explained the design elements to the parents and to the two kids that should be old enough to understand. Happily my mother (age 85) is still in good shape and can enjoy her great-grandchildren - I am most thankful for that.

the only initial belief is to thank you for choosing life,. that choice is more valuable than the decision to cultivate and farvaste land.

Congratulations! Being a grandparent is such a blessing, so different than being a parent - you will love it!

Apparently, someone is in denial and avoiding the fact that he is becoming a grandFATHER. :)

Yup, sure is, you can spoil them, sugar them up and send them back to punitively torture their parents.

Congratulations! Grand children, as you will find out, bring us full circle in the cycle of life. An unending source of joy and happiness. Nothing better. A gift from God. By the way......the lovely Mrs. Hydrant and myself are blessed with 12 of the little critters. You've got some catching up to do. Tell that daughter of yours that when she's done with this one to get busy!!!!!! I'm happy for you and your wife. And......the parents to be! And most of all for the baby. A new life. A loving family. That's what it's all about.

Yea, Sunday night IS good when the mommy vans show up to collect 'em all. But then, it's like the cowboys used to say in all those old movies when they were surrounded by the Injuns......... "It's quiet around here.....TOO QUIET."

    Excellent reason to celebrate.

Always nice to drink because you want to, not because you're driven to LOL.

    Congratulations!
