Questionable toning, AU details.
The gash by the eye is likely enough to preclude a straight-grade without the color job.

That 'could' be NT....hard to judge from a picture.....Either way, not a coin I would consider due to condition. Cheers, RickO
Looks cleaned with at least secondary toning. Looks damaged a bit as well.

The picture doesn't make the reverse look cleaned, but the angle and sheen of the obverse makes something look off to me. If that color sat on a coin with a light skin, I'd think it could be okay. With the coin as bright as it appears, the toning looks somehow helped, whether AT (less likely) or the surface cleaned/dipped to expose fresh metal and make it easier to tone (more likely).
Sorry that gash under the eye means it's worth melt to me.
The color means I'd pay more for it that a blast white coin with the same gash

Thank you all for your comments. Felt kind of the same way but took a chance anyway. May have over paid at 48.00. Oh well guess it will go in my Questionable peace dollar book. Pretty coin in hand and the cash looks more like a light scrap. With way its noticeable only when the light,hots hit a certain way. Thanks again everyone

I've paid that much and more for coins with similar toning. I am sure you'll get that much or more out of it if/when you decide to sell.
NT AU58 - Straight-graded in a PCGS holder, it becomes a $120-$200 coin to a serious toning collector.
