A local dealer told me about this error coin, I said I would post the images, let me know what you think on rarity and value. Now he needs to get it crossed into a PCGS holder!

Interesting. Apparently not on a dime planchet but on a half-sized planchet struck from dime-thickness strip.

Happens all the time with some of the TPGs, but not PCGS as Fred almost always gets it right.
I agree the the ragged lines are indicative of a split planchet.
