Thank you everyone. I really appreciate all your kind comments and support. This car is really special and I'm so thrilled to own it, but even more, it just means a lot to be able to buy it as a tribute to my Dad. Now whenever I drive it (and I do plan to drive it around locally maybe even to a car show here and there), I hope my Dad will be right beside me!
I also found these neat items on eBay, including this awesome limited edition, signed and numbered, book that has just about everything you'd ever want to know at GTCS Mustangs!
The tail lights on your vehicle are very similar to the 1968 Cougar tail lights, which were sequential in nature. Are yours as well? Some mixing and matching possibly here. BTW the Mustang from the 60's and the Cougar are my favorite vehicles.

I love the 67-68 Cougars, especially the sequential turn indicators
I was always a Cougar fan myself. I had a 68 XR7 with a 302 4BBL I built up to the level of the Boss HP wise! I traded that in for the Torino GT I had. It would have been a GTO convertible I found but my Dad would have no part of it! The funny part was that Torino was pretty much as Bad ass as the GTO...I guess my Dad didn't realize it!
A funnier part of my Cougar was souping it up under my Dad's nose. I told my Dad I needed to put lifters in it. I came home from school 1 afternoon and stripped it down to the cam. The next day I got home from school and slipped the cam in and had it buttoned up before my Dad got home. About 3 months later we took my car to go bowling. We were sitting at a red light and my Dad looks at me and says it seems to be idling a little rough. I said nah, it runs great. He then says it's running like it has a Cam in it. I couldn't help my self! I looked at him with a huge Cheshire grin and said it does!
