Nice pick up Realone. I have zero experience grading this series but I’m in the AU58 camp.Your coin has better eye appeal then most others I’ve seen. At some point in the future I’m planning on doing a bust dollar set. Probably not as high of a grade as yours. Im thinking VF-XF with the same quality as this piece. Congrats!!!
My starting point for a grade guess was AU58 and I went upwards from there. I don’t see anything that tells me the coin can’t be mint state, so I will guess MS 63. Whatever the assigned grade, I love the look of it!

Looks like it’s a tad of a weak strike rather than AU. Without seeing the luster very well and can’t say for sure that I see any rub I’m going with mint state. I’ll guess 62 and will add I think it’s gorgeous.
Congratulations, Joe
The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
IMO darker coins like this show better in NGC holders. I recommend leave it alone. No matter what grade the holder has on it, the coin is still worthy of a CAC look if not already tried.

TY, unfortunately CAC will not sticker anything other than PCGS & NGC, this piece is in an older ANACS holder.
Sorry for the confusion. Still looks good in that holder !

Very nice coin, hard to GTG on 55-63 without a luster shot, but this has virtually no wear, choice AU.
Yah, 59-61 from that picture, technically maybe a bit lower but well above average original-appearance (non-mishandling and/or skillfully restored) forgives other normal commercial handling when new...
Put aside early and not abused, nice coin!
Is that the ANA holder that has the gold foil reverse? Those are great holders, and I think it is cool that you keep coins in the old holders. I think CAC could increase their business by opening up stickers to the old ANACS holders.

I can't afford to guess the grade on that coin.
Nothing like being first in a series you never have to grade . . .
I look at AU55 . . . ..
Drunner
I grade that an attractive coin!
I agree with Mr Drunner.

That is a lovely, rare type example. I would be at AU55 or AU58 depending on luster.

Technical 58 that is probably graded 62 or 63.
Beautiful coin and it's great to hear Mark's still around. Seems like forever ago when he was active here.
Great coin! Love it.
MS62.

Whoa!! Beautiful coin. Either AU-58 or MS-62.
A 58 in a 62 holder.
Grade does not matter, she's a beauty!
I'd gladly give you 55 money for your badly graded ANACS (ANA) coin.
Heck I can’t afford to look 👀 at that coin very nice MS64?

Great looking coin, Realone. I'm guessing it's more colorful in hand than the pictures let on? I love it, and in the old ANACS holder it's a plus

I went back and looked at the coin again. Still really love it.
I like the dollar and the holder... Was this a eBay purchase?
Gorgeous. This is a really nice look and there isn't a single distracting thing about it. I would have said AU58.
Great looking coin
