Yes, i think its from some kind of set- the date on it is 1999 and the edge is silver- (added third pic to original post)

It's plated as a novelty item.
It is a P mint coin, so not from a silver proof set.

A plated coin as mentioned.... sometimes you find gold plated ones too.
Well, that explains it! I always toss odd coins in a bowl and hang onto them, this was one!
It's still a novelty coin but still neat to view. Jmo
