PCGS Oversized Holder for Softpack GSA Dollar.... by design or mistake?

I recently got back this '84-S Dollar. I was happy how the coin graded -- it is a tough GSA date/MM -- but was really disappointed in the holder. It cost $20 extra for the "oversized holder", but now I can't see half of the reverse. Was this a mistake? I was pretty surprised when I first got it out of the package.

Nope that is how they do it now.

They maybe made a mistake not switching the softpack around.

On the plus side, there is plenty of room for a cac sticker.

CAC doesnt do soft packs unfortunately.

I'm specifically concerned about the reverse being covered by the huge "PCGS" logo. It seems like they could have just rotated the holder around, but I wasn't sure if this was the orientation they use for all GSA soft packs.

I'd complain loudly and make, ask them to reholder so the coin can be viewed.

I agree send it back and tell them to do it right by not covering up the coin. Better yet send it to NGC I bet they will get it right the 1st Time! They might do it for free.

When I have had these in the past I have not noticed the label, so I am sure it could have been rotated.

...That’s frustrating, because if the label where smaller and/or out of the coins way, then that’s a dope holder IMO...It can’t really get any smaller, unless the graders whip out the scissors and trim some of the fat off of the GSA holder itself before slabbing...it’s a rare find already, so maybe the holder itself will become rare when PCGS fixes the obvious issue with that presentation ;)

This is true today, but I may have the only group of cac’d sort packs in existence 😎

Please send this back as a re-holder and "ATTN: Steve Feltner". I will make sure it gets rotated, and you will obviously not be charged a re-holder fee or return shipping. We can get this issue taken care of, no problem.

    Will do -- thanks!
