It's thirty 30 years ago and you're in a casino buying a hundred dollars worth of Kennedy halves breaking them open to find 40% or 90 % coins.

Then chasing the old biddy to get more off the cast , repeat, cash in, repeat. Never gambling either.

Not to mention the look she's giving u every 16 minutes

You know you're a Jefferson collector when family, friends & associates keep showing you some old circulated 50's or 60's Nickel they got in change and ask if it full steps and what they can get for it

When you look at mostly filled albums and want to upgrade existing coins before filling all the holes. And then you realize, you're never going to finish.

Sounds like a great time. What kind of volume were you finding back then?

Honestly, I averaged one or two coins per roll not necessarily 90% but, quite a lot of 40%. The time was 33 years ago and most old Joners thought you had to have a 1964 to have any silver content. After awhile the finds just seemed to stop

Imagine a 6 year old (me) in a Casino. aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaa

When you purchase about 4K of camera equipment to take the best images of the coins you own.

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
