    Just another coin that spent time buried and was then chemically cleaned, possibly with Kaboom. It has no numismatic interest or value.

    Sorry, but it's just environmental damage, as others have said. Either a metal detector find, or sitting out in the elements for a while. A missing clad layer would weigh a lot less than what you've shown

    It looks like environmental damage...Likely laid in some soil or moist substance for a while...possibly acidic...Cheers, RickO
