Love it. US gold is that last great buy in numismatics. You get yourself gold, you get yourself history and you get yourself a teeny tiny numismatic premium.

I would sell my whole worthless plastic coin collection and buy every coin like this I could. If a coin with these low pop numbers were in the WLH series, it would be a 50K coin.

Great "old gold" look on that one. Edit, PCGS r7.7 in all grades. Great deal.

A good looking coin with a low mintage can't be too bad a deal at that price!

I would happily trade off my collection of modern junk if I could get some nice gold like this.

Good job on catching this before it hit the melting pot.

Nice. I'm surprised how much gold is selling around melt.

Interesting piece, for sure. I have a soft spot for old, worn out U.S. Gold. A total no-brainer IMO. Nice pick up!

I certainly did, but didn't wish to offer any further encouragement. You used that line on a bust quarter a couple of years ago and we tried not to notice that time either. :s

We weren't dozin' , just duodecimalizing while waitin' to "play the dozens" :#

It (almost unimaginably) gets worse from there. :p

    Semi-incidentally - nice purchase . . . . many seen finer, but none as fine :)
