I'll start off with the guy Hendrix called the best he'd ever seen. Start at 3 minutes.

I like listening to David Gilmour tear it up at the end of Pink Floyd's "Have a Cigar". That's my favorite Pink Floyd song. The guy singing that song was never a member of Pink Floyd. Bad a$$ song.
So 1970's is the new coinstartled now? LOL.
I kind of like when Don Henley steps away from the drums and pretends to play guitar for the Eagles.
So I'll go with Don Henley.
Listen to “Throw down the Sword” by Wishbone Ash of their Argus album. You’ll have to wait until the lyrics are over to here the greatest duel guitar riffs. Yes I’m stuck in the 70’s. Argus is still my favorite album along with DSOTM.
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
KICK-ASS!

Those other 2 guys on Eagles sure can pick! That solo in Hotel California is one of the best.
I have a DVD when they played in Australia, love listening to Hotel California.
The lyrics are amazing, but when the lyrics are done the song really rocks!
They had Joe Walsh and Steuart Smith in Melbourne, both great.
nary a time goes by when i fail to pick up my air guitar and play the hell out of it when i hear this song
word to the wise: at about the 2 min mark, put your air guitar down and take a quick nap. i'd like to see a dude whip out a bow and use it on his electric guitar said no one ever. wake up at the 4 min mark and resume jamming.

Joe Walsh and Don Felder were the best combo.

Stevie Ray Vaughan was born with a guitar in his hands.
Bad a$$
Play behind the back
Play behind the head
I could think of many of this guy's solos that fit the bill
But, I will go with a perfect note for note solo by David Gilmour - Comfortably Numb.
As far as the classic guitar "army" at the end of Hotel California, I have one that matches that and for true kick ass, takes it up a notch. https://youtu.be/QxIWDmmqZzY

Their version of "Imagine" brings a tear.
Slash - November Rain
One of my favorites...
Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?

I listed November Rain as one of my favorite rock songs on that thread, unfortunately
when they play it on the radio they cut it off before the song is over.
Michael Schenker....starts at 2:00....

I CAN'T STOP!
I love Joe Walsh on guitar. His song "Life is Good" is a hoot.
This is one of my favs from the past. The guitar solo duel with Joe and Don is killer.
sorry technical difficulty. Not sure I remember how to do this.
