Back in 2007 I asked Daniel Carr if he had ever thought of making a Challenge Coin or some type of medal for forum users, he said there had been some talk about it. After that I never heard anymore about it.
It may be time, what do you think?

Only if the reverse said “User Banned Please Carry On”
He who knows he has enough is rich.
Depends on the style, etc.
Yes I love his work I’m sure it would be awesome

Maybe I could win one from @Paradisefound. Edit, that's just a joke.
Edited with new ideas
Shinny coin with a motto of "Ricko approve"?
Or how about a double strike wheatie medal with "In CU we trust" on the obverse and "DOUBLE Cents" on the reverse?
Sight unseen.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
I’m not a medals guy.
If the forum hosts were on-board, sure. Otherwise, it might cause some hard feelings.
Of course! Although the gold and platinum might be a bit pricey.
The possibilities are endless..
If a nice silver medal existed and I could afford it I would buy one for sure.
Would PCGS slab all these medals? Maybe some sort of authentication-only (ungraded) descriptive-label slab.
If not, then I doubt our host would be on-board -- especially given the certainty some of these medals would be slabbed by ANACS or ICG.

...Hell Yeah I voted yes!...I’m in for a couple hundred no questions asked...PM me if it goes down please
I'm a collector, you know how we work, my friend.
No.
...well too bad @cameonut2011 cause I’m buying you one and your not allowed to resale it
Well, how cool would this be?
I can see us all in a bar somewhere near a big coin show. Somebody pulls out their PCGS challenge coin and lays it on the counter. Last one to get their's out has to buy a round.

Nothing against DC. Just not my thing.
Smitten with DBLCs.
not really collectable just a type of token
Why not? All kinds of medals are made for various conventions, who made those medals. Did/does any care?
There is another forum that a member had produced medals, for a cost, for forum members (and I think anyone interested).
The predominant, IMO, impression the medal should be is to convey the spirit of whatever it represents.
2 cents.
Yes, Antiqued Brass for me...
Dan does some impressive work with the KotCT, and other clubs around the country.

I think it is a great idea....Since I collect challenge coins, it would be a nice addition. Dan does really nice work. I hope he considers this project. Cheers, RickO
Just not a fan of such items
Actually the design elements would influence my desire. CU home page with categories for the obv. and the Banned symbol for the rev. would be cool. Peace Roy

I could not resist. I think that’s a great idea and fully support it!
considering how much he's benefited from the forum membership, if he did issue one it should probably be given to a lot of the members as a token of appreciation.
Only if it struck over an NGC Forum token!
;-)
yes and hopefully it wont be overly expensive
Of course.
Did someone say it's "not collectable"??
How about a rare parking lot strike?
Depends on its design.
Not a reproduction guy, authentic or bust, but whatever floats your boat. Good luck!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.
BOOMIN!™
Wooooha! Did someone just say it's officially "TACO™" Tuesday????
Yes
So when can we buy?????
Sounds kinda cool but I'm not into drawer stuffers.
Only if in someway acknowledged the old open forum.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Probably
I knew it would happen.
I doubt it will happen now, it's clear there is no majority for the production of this item, as the vote at the time of this postings the Yes vote was 48%, just 35 votes with 25 no votes and 12 votes for it Depends on the price.
Along with getting host approval and what would be a clear majority of registered users I doubt this will ever happen. Of course if it did I could see some of the non registered users might sign up, who knows.
Maybe in ten more years the question may come up again...
