1936-D 3 1/2 legs ... what are the other diagnostics and is this one?

  Sorry-not the variety. The real deal is nearly as weak as the '37-D. Here's what it looks like-

  Ah, too bad. Are there any other diagnostics like the mint mark position or something I'm overlooking? Can't seem to find any data.

  National Park Service logo, stripe or patch, located in the theigh area left leg.
  Blatter goofey, with respect.
  Hoofs ... could they be in snow?
  Just my thoughts with out fully exam-ing.

  Yes-it has a distinct MM placement. I can't think of any other die marker but the leg is weak enough none should be needed.

  Yep... the leg is really weak on the authentic 3 1/2 leggers....easy to spot. Cheers, RickO
