    2 yrs are baby steps from being an expert on coinage and everything else in the sense.

    I'm amazed at how much I learn just by being interested or engaged with a subject. "Expertise" suggests "expert" to me. One gets expertise from having some experience which, of course, is not gained overnight. And, I would add, the best experience is not to be gotten from just the coins themselves but from getting to know some of the people who own them.
