What grade coins do you find most likely to be returned.

If you sell coins, and if you track this info (or just seat of pants estimate) which grades do you find to be returned most often?
No reasons needed.... just returns.

We sell to no one over sixty, so the returns are minimal.

Why, what have we done wrong to deserve this, could it be we may be tougher on grading having done it the"Old" way?

The grade right before a huge jump in price and usually after the crack out artists realize there is a zero percent chance of an upgrade or I would have upgraded it before selling it. o:)

What about those coins that don't make it at CAC. Wouldn't they frequently get returned?

I've only had coin returns this year. An MS66 commem and a 67 CAC.

The 67 CAC came back fron a now blocked dealer whose comment was; I thought it would be better. Lol. It was a67 CAC Wisconsin commem. I think that translates: it won't 68.

I do not sell coins... so no returns.... and I have not returned any coins purchased (other than one ASE to the mint)...I have had good fortune buying coins....Those viewed in hand (shows or shops) in the past were always solid buys... those online purchases, well, I did worry about a couple due to pictures... but they were good. Cheers, RickO

Had a gold stickered commem returned early this year. Also a dealer. Have not blocked him, but maybe should.

As a buyer, the few coins that I have returned are normally because of bad imaging.

My online store returns are few and far between. I have good images. I would wager the more expensive the coin the the greater odds it will be returned. This has nothing really to do with the coin IMO but buyers remorse. Maybe they wanted spend money somewhere else or some bill came in and they realized the really can’t afford that material. Or their wife blasted them on purchase.

If you ask me, it's unforgiveable for a dealer to treat another dealer like an approval service. I sold it at a "sight unseen" price. The dealer could have sold it retail for what he paid for it. If a collector hated it, that's a different story. Although even then I will sometimes block them if it is a first time customer. If you are 1 for 1 on returns, you are going to be trouble.

My return rate is very close to Zero for selling and for buying.

For selling, all my coin are professionally imaged so the buyer knows exactly what they are getting.

For buying, I buy only what I know.
