I don't understand. It's a nice AU of a common date.

I suspect the OP means he was pleased to find the nickel in circulation.
I don't know, after digging through endless piles of completely hammered looking nickles this guy was a treat. 60 years old
i know,, i know........like one guy said on another coin..."hell I wouldn't even bother to pick it up".
We can all hope to look that good after 60 years of circulation....
The thread title says 59-D. I don't see the D.
It also says "nickle" but all I see is a nickel

I can understand.... sometimes after going through hundreds and hundreds of coins, one will stand out as more attractive than all the others...although it may, grade wise, be mediocre.... just looks real good compared to all that have just passed in front of your searching eyes...Cheers, RickO

1959 Philly coins are not easy to find these days.
1960, 61, 62 not common anymore either.
Has some steps.....no where close to Full Steps. AU common date Nickel.
